Corinne Maggiore

Hello

My name is Corinne Maggiore. Entirely self-taught, I’ve been drawing since I was very young. In October 2016, I had the desire and the need to be self-employed and to try to make a living out of my passion.

Thus, I create commissioned portraits out of dry pastels from photographs of horses and animals.

I have a passion for animals and I cannot imagine my life without them. I am the happy owner of a magnificent mare named Zelmi, who is also my artistic namesake. I have attached her portrait; she is the bay mare. The portrait is marked with “Zelmi Fine Art”.

I am also the lucky owner of an adorable little cat called Princesse.

My professional life has also revolved around animals. I worked as a riding instructor for about twenty years and then as a veterinary assistant prior to becoming a full-time equine and animal artist!

I am deeply touched by animal causes. I have created visual art to raise awareness and educate the public about the necessity for animal protection. This visual art is available on different platforms (in French only):

Furthermore, for each piece of visual art sold, I was able to give a part of the proceeds to the Chimpanzee Conservation Center in Guinea. I hope to be able to continue to donate by selling even more t-shirts!

I have also sold two drawings for the benefit of the Chimpanzee Conservation Center in Guinea as well as the Ferus Association (for the protection of wolves, bears and lynxes in France). And I do not intend to stop giving!

You can find me on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/zelmi.fine.art/ (available in French only),

as well as on my website at  http://www.zelmifineart.com/ (available in French only).

So there, that just about sums up my life in a few lines.

Thank you for taking the time to read my profile, for appreciating my drawing, and for talking about it on your website, which I discovered and liked very much!
